A new season will be upon us soon.  Marching season, then concert season will be be full of new excitement.  Our band will be successful whether one parent volunteers to help or fifty parents volunteer to help.  But the more volunteers we have, the more the band becomes like a family.  The more you feel like this is your family, the more you enjoy being here, and the more you want to be here.  It just seems to work in a circle like that. 

That said...it's time to build a Band Booster Board for next year.  The Booster Board isn't a group of magical people, exceptionally brilliant people, or people financially better off than the rest.  Booster Board people are those who are willing to give some extra time and effort to make sure that the business of running a band happens in the best way it can.  If you're already coming to the Booster meetings, why not consider adding an hour a month and be part of the board?  It will give you an inside track on things that are happening, and you'll have an opportunity to add your voice.
